Janie is a freelance writer with multiple articles published online and in magazines, newspapers, and other media venues. She currently directs the Center for Writing Excellence where she teaches creative writing, offers a free e-newsletter for writers, and runs a bi-monthly Fiction Writing Contest. Janie has taken her undergraduate degree in Journalism to places her teachers in J-school never thought of, working as an entrepreneurial writer out of the mainstream Journalism school prepared her for.
