I'm Joan Bassington-French, an author who writes murder mysteries and fantasy/adventure novels. Although I love to read and write, I also enjoy spending time cooking, baking, and crocheting. I currently live in the South Carolina, although I grew up in the Mid-West. I prefer the cold and snow, though. My interest in the Victorian era was stemmed by the many Victorian novels I grew up reading. I think I've always loved fantasy stories, and I have an especial fondness for Andrew Lang's Fairy Books.
