Johanna Stirling is a freelance English language teaching consultant. She is based in Norwich, England. For several months each year, she works for NILE (Norwich Institute for Language Education) where she is an Associate Trainer. There she works with teachers from around the world, ranging from those who are just starting on their ELT careers (CELTA) to experienced teachers. Johanna also works for Cambridge University Press. She has co-written teaching materials for Cambridge, including teacher's books for the face2face series and English Unlimited. She has also worked on content editing for software. In addition to writing, Johanna gives workshops and presentations for Cambridge around the world, particularly eastern Europe. Previously Johanna worked for Bell International as a teacher and trainer for 20 years. She became interested in teaching spelling, especially to those learners who particularly struggled with it. Now she has written a much-needed book on the subject.
