Julio A. Diaz-Perez, was born in Malaga, Colombia in 1982. He received his MD degree from the Universidad Industrial de Santander in 2005 and his MS degree from the Universidad de Valencia in 2010. He was trained as Pathologist at the Hospital Universitario de Santander, the National Health Institute and National Cancer Institute in Colombia. In 2009 he carried out training in Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre CNIO in Madrid, Spain. He return to Colombia and he joined the University of Santander as Associate Professor and Chair of the Pathology Group in 2010. In 2011, he was named Professor and Researcher of the University of Santander. He then moved as Research Fellow to the University of California, San Diego, La Jolla, USA in 2011. He is member of the ISDP, ASH, ASCO, AMP, CAP, ESP, RSTMI, USCAP and NYAS.
