Kathleen Gabriel has been telling stories since she was a child, though she no longer tells them to explain why her homework is late. The gears in her head are turning all the time—she always has a book in progress, just as she always has at least one knitting project going. She doesn't confine her knitting to other people’s patterns, and she doesn’t follow a strict outline with her stories, either. Kathleen has had three novels published. Her short story, "Sonia" won an editors' choice award from LineZero in February 2011. She is a graduate of the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop. Kathleen is a member of SnoValley Writes! a group in the Snoqualmie Valley near Seattle, Washington where she lives with her husband and a rowdy dog.
