Kim Viner

Kim Viner is a sixth generation Laramie native. A graduate of Laramie HS and the University of Wyoming, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1974 and served as a Naval Intelligence Officer. He retired after 20 years, attaining the rank of Commander. He is a volunteer at the Laramie Plains Museum as a researcher and docent and is on the board of the Albany County Historical Society. He has authored three books on the Edward Ivinson famly and one on Laramie attorney Melville. C. Brown. He has been published in the Annals of Wyoming, Laramie Boomerang history series, St. John (U. S. Virgin Islands) Historical Society newsletter, the Laramie Plains Museum newsletter, Asian Affairs (quarterly academic review) and on WyoHistory.org. His newest book on long time Laramie attorney Stephen Wheeler Downey was published in 2017. Net proceeds from all sales are donated to the Laramie Plains Museum. Contact [email protected]
