Kieran Greer wrote this book after 10 years or so, working on research projects at the two Universities in Northern Ireland. He currently runs his own R&D company, Distributed Computing Systems, and specialises in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and distributed information systems. The site also shows his own innovative software products, including the related open source 'licas' system. More recently, new research into the problems stated in the book have resulted in new papers and interesting discoveries, providing a more complete picture of the whole topic.
