In 2007, heARTist Kara LC Jones aka Mother Henna started a project to create 1000 pieces of art exploring the different... More > faces of grief & creativity. In 2009, after finishing the first 1000, she lost a computer, external drive, and back up which zapped 498 of the pieces. As she rebuilt the project, she found that upon completing the replacement 498, she just kept going into the second set of another 1000 Faces. This book has been put together as a high end, full color, hard back, 11x13 inch coffee table book to show the first 1000 of the collection together as one body of work. As a kid she always thought those hills were mountains. It wasn’t until she made her way to Puget Sound that she discovered what real mountains look like. She is heARTist and Coach behind the works at MotherHenna.com, and she co-founded KotaPress with her husband Hawk after the death of their son Dakota in 1999.
