Beth Taylor
Beth Taylor is an award-winning writer, journalist, public relations practitioner, and civic leader. She is also a survivor of child sexual abuse at the hands of a Catholic clergy member. The abuse began when Beth Taylor was a five-year-old school girl and continued until she was nearly a teenager. While her brain protected her by repressing memories of the trauma, she has lived more than 50 years with the effects of the brutal abuse. Over the years Beth Taylor has had a varied career in communications from political public relations, to journalist, television news and sports anchor, healthcare marketing, advertising, video productions, and multi-media projects. During her television career, she was Mississippi’s first female television sportscaster. She has earned nearly 100 international, national, and local awards in the communications profession and is listed in numerous biographies. Beth Taylor is a New Orleans native and a 1977 graduate of Louisiana State University.
