Larry G. Lemons began his literary career in the first grade at Ringgold Elementary School in Ringgold, Texas, when he first learned to spell "cat." Later moving to Nocona, just a few miles down the highway, to advance his educational opportunities, he learned to spell bigger words, as well. After spending 27 years of his adult life as a professional portrait photographer, which required little spelling, and achieving the level of Master Craftsman Photographer, he and his wife, Donna, sold their business for him to pursue a second career as an artist specializing in oil paintings of Texas themed subjects. It was during this time that he rediscovered his love for writing, especially with the advent of personal computers with "spellcheck" on them. In his books, he takes a look at his life and recounts, through humor and inspiration, the memories and blessings that have come his way and hopes that his readers will enjoy them, too.
