My career was in engineering and I started writing novels while I was still working on power stations. (In fact, it was while I was pinned down in my hotel room in Hong Kong by a typhoon that I started to write "Far Point".) Amazon now classes the Dan Foster novels in the ‘legal fiction’ genre - which was not exactly what I had in mind when I started to write them!
