After graduating Calvin College, Paul settled down in the Chicagoland area where he served as a teacher at Chicago Christian High School. He has been married to his wife, Dorothy for 67 years. They had three children together and have eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Paul is now a spritely 89 years old and living with his wife Dorothy in Homer Glen, Illinois. Paul has a unique gift for storytelling. Throughout this book along the historical backdrop of the 1930’s, Paul brings us back to that place in North Central Iowa, into the world of a young boy, and later, a high school student. His delightful recollections are a pleasure to read and cultivate a sense of appreciation for what our forefathers experienced in their lives during those special times.
