Loralee Cooley
Loralee Coleman Cooley has worked as a professional storyteller since 1977, taking as her “business moniker” STORYSPINING...a combination of STORYtelling and yarnSPINNING. She holds a B.A. in piano performance from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, and an Individualized M.A. in Storytelling from Antioch University in Yellow Springs Ohio. Georgia-based Southern Order of Storytellers (S.O.S.) in Atlanta which currently presents several events annually, was organized in the early 1980s under her leadership. She lives with her husband Ed and their two Standard Poodles, Lilac and Lavender, in Cordell Oklahoma. They claim several (now adult) foster and international “daughters” who are scattered over several states from California to New York, and who represent countries from Brazil and Bulgaria to the USA
