Michelle Onuorah is an award-winning writer based in Southern California. Originally from Maryland, Michelle grew up with a love of storytelling: "I used to watch soap operas with my mom and grandma and eventually I began making up my own dramas while playing with my barbies." She wrote down some of her stories in a notebook and continued to write for fun. At the tender age of thirteen, Michelle wrote her first book, Double Identity, and got it published the next year. "I don't recommend it to anyone over the age of twelve. It reads very much like a thirteen year old wrote it!" She has gone on to author four books in all. In 2009, Michelle won the Captured Moments Creativity Award for her poem entitled "Encounter". Her writing has appeared in Vestiges Literary Magazine and Spot Magazine among others. She has been a featured panelist at the Sigma Tau Delta conference and the Acacia Conference. A recent graduate from Biola University, Michelle continues to write in her spare time.
