About
Patricia Buck
I’ve been an artist and a writer (story teller) all my life. In 1974 I sold my first painting for £10 and by that time I was already writing poetry and stories for anybody who would read or listen to them! As is often the case, life got in the way - as a young adult I was steered away from the creative arts by those who, misguidedly, thought there were better ways for me to earn a crust. But in 2001 having completed a PhD. in Law and published a book version of my thesis under my then married name, I felt the confidence and frankly the right to take up writing fiction in earnest. In 2008 I added poetry to my output. In Christmas 2015 I started messing about with paints and within a few months had started up a pet portraits business which has had a constant stream of commissions ever since. I also teach law,and film Studies part-time, lest I should find mysef with any spare time on my hands! I love my life, I love what I do. I hope you enjoy it too.
