The PRIMAL EYE gives a complete scientific account of the early evolution of fundamental consciousness. Dreams, R.E.M., waking and hypnotic states are explained mechanistically. This theory is no... More > less than a solution to the 'Hard Problem' in Western Philosophy (aka Descartes' longstanding 'Mind-body Problem'). Many academic philosophical difficulties are immediately cleared up by this revolutionary approach. Finally collected together here are 25 years of Phantom Eye research (aka Median Vision Theory) carried out by Steve Nichols whilst at several different universities. Contents include the original BSc Hons dissertation, MSc thesis on Machine Consciousness, MA on Median Vision Theory and Dreaming, PhD research from the 1990's including the 'Finite to Infinite-State' breakthrough paper, and assorted academic magazine articles. With some new material written for this book. Also available from Lulu in PAPERBACK.< Less

ZENET - Egyptian Game of Immortality is the first in a series that will build over time to form an encyclopedia of the 5,000+ year old game of Zn.t or Senet. I have tried to strike a balance between... More > readability, Egyptological scholarship and general usefulness. Key 1. introduces preliminary concepts, plus it provides translations of important Egyptian texts, together with plenty of illustrations. ZENET can be used as a divination Oracle, as a ritual game to communicate with the Dead, as an offering to the Gods or the Akhs, as a solar and lunar meditation, a conversation with your own bA-soul, or simply as a fascinating recreational board-game. Many crucial ritual Zenet texts are included here, together with full annotations, and some new theories about the nature of this system. This volume teaches rudiments of the Middle Egyptian language which is essential to opening up knowledge (hidden for millennia past) of this uniquely powerful box brimful of deities. http://kemetic.org< Less

This book exposes coincidences between the fifty-six minor arcana of the Marseilles tarot (later Waite and Golden Dawn minor arcana) and this series of 56 times four Winds divination figures - called... More > "lotteries" in 1635. Wither insisted in 56 rather than 50, I argue because then these lotteries could be chosen with just one spinner, plus playing cards. The designs appeared originally in Gabriel Rollenhagen’s Nucleus Emblematum (1611) and Emblematum Centuria Secunda (1613). Wither added 4x6 figures to the 4x50 originals, adding cryptic poetry in English, plus his own method of Four Winds divination by two cardboard spinners (one shown back cover). Wither's also commissioned the alchemical frontispiece (front cover). These four sets of 56 can be combined with the 88 'Triumphs' (4x22 Major's) published as part of my "Taro of the Four Worlds" series.< Less

TARO OF THE FOUR WORLDS. Sensational rediscovery of an original Trionfi (Triumph, thence Trump) Tarot from Renaissance Italy of 1571 AD! These Greek Mystery "Four Orders of Virtue" were... More > described as a game in 1425 AD, but no images were associated with this early description. This series of eighty-eight Emblematic engravings were miscategorised in the Antiquarian book trade as "History of Art", since their engraver, Zaltieri, was in the great Veneziani school that included Tintoretto. Phantom Eye Theory By steve nichols

ILLUSTRATED BOOK The mammalian brain consists of a 'phantom' sense-organ combined with the flesh and blood brain. This phantom sense-organ is an organ of unitary (synaesthetic) sense, allowing all... More > the modalities to be bound together seamlessly into consciousness. The physical model for the phantom sense organ is an ancient pineal light-sensitive organ that predates our stereoscopic lateral eyes, and which also predates the hearing sense modality. It provides the very grounds of our awareness. This breakthrough scientific theory is here preserved in the original academic format.< Less
