In total, over a little more than eleven years, we traveled for 1,410 days in forty-nine states and five Canadian provinces, drove 71,540 miles in the RV and 41,437 more in our tow car, stayed at 484 different campgrounds, and saw 1,122 different attractions. I have written annual travelogues about our individual trips; this book summarizes and lists the highlights: unusual and interesting roads, campgrounds that stood out from the rest, towns that we thoroughly enjoyed, places where we ate unforgettable meals, tourist attractions that stood out from the crowd, national parks that we would (and sometimes did) visit multiple times, and other places worth remembering. Several on-the-road incidents are also recounted giving flavor to the stew.< Less
