As a longtime fan of homebuilt aircraft, boatbuilding was at first a stopgap until I could find the time, money and workshop to built my own airplane.  My first boat was an 8' Brick sailing dinghy built in 1998 in my parent's garage since my wife Agnes and I lived in a small apartment. I enjoyed the boatbuilding so much that I have built three more boats over the years:  a 15' Yellow Leaf canoe, a 15' June Bug skiff and 7' Tortoise pram, all of them designs by the late Philip C. Bolger.  As I write this, I have a 12' Teal dory in progress in the garage.  See my old boatbuilding web site (link below) for more info. I haven't yet been able to build that airplane but I do stay active in the homebuilt aircraft world.  I also created and maintain a site (link below) about Eric Clutton's classic "flying runabout, experimental design," better known as FRED.
