Mae Stroshane
Mae Siu-Wai Stroshane is an award-winning author, composer, and pianist. Her short story, “Autumn Gardening,” appears in “The Forbidden Stitch: An Asian American Women’s Anthology,” winner of the 1990 National Book Award. Her screenplay adaptation of “Autumn Gardening” was a semi-finalist in the 2019 LA Film Festival screenwriting competition.<> Mae has numerous stories on this site. Her latest is "The Mysterious Mr. Banes," about a stranger who claims he is Ludwig van Beethoven, returned from the dead. He says that we must treat one another with humanity if we are to survive, and has come to bring new music to the world. That's ridiculous--or is it?
