Pluramon Books
Pluramon Books is the culmination of a literary project which has been underway for forty years and more. Leon Stephens, the editor, began this work in 1981 with a spontaneous first Canto of Dante Alighieri's COMMEDÌA (as it was pronounced in Dante's time) - here published in three volumes - and kept going from there to include titles by Gustave Flaubert, Miguel de Cervantes and others. Pluramon books has grown to 30 volumes so far, including revisions of John Stevens' early-18th-century translations of Francisco Quevedo, a bilingual edition of Francis B. Gummere's BEOWULF, Martin Freksa's stunning historical study of the Atlantis question, TRACES OF THE ATLANTIC CIVILIZATION, and the extraordinary and uncategorizable DANCE FLOORS WITH SUBTEXT by Bembo Davies.. More will be added when Stephens completes the audiobook project he is currently engaged on, recordings of the translations listed below, which are and will be available on numerous audiobook platforms. To view samples frrom these books, click on any title, and then on the word PREVIEW below the enlarged cover image which will then appear.
