The Hawker Hunter entered service with SOAF as it then was in 1975 and it arrived at a good time. It would continue in service alongside the Sepecat Jaguar at Thumrait until 1993 when it was finally retired and replaced with Hawk aircraft and the Jaguars replaced with the F-16. The contribution to SOAF/RAFO over the years by Airworks, Marconi, Electroman, Plessey and the other contracters has been invaluable. Hopefully, this compilation of information and photos will help some to remember, and others to understand the life we led.< Less
