Born in Houston, Texas, I've lived in the south most of my life, including northern Arkansas, Louisville, and Atlanta. I never really fit in there, especially when there was a presidential candidate with what the south considered too much melanin in his skin. So I got the hell out of there and moved to California where I could be surrounded by progressives and thinkers and nobody thinks a gun is a normal person's fashion statement. I spent 2.5 years in a Christian cult learning more than I wanted to know about the Bible, and the rest of my life since trying to forget it. Now I just live to be a happy, gay man who loves to make people laugh and drink enough coffee to fuel small countries. And to write.
