Tom Waters

Author & essayist Tom Waters (40) has been writing since the age of 13 when an English teacher encouraged his journal entries and poems. After editing & contributing to his high school paper, Waters went on to write for The Buffalo State Record. Upon leaving college, he freelanced for The Buffalo News, ArtVoice, Night Life Magazine, Acid Logic, Film Fax, Buffalo Spree, & World Wide Freelancer to name a few. To date, he's written and published 12 books ranging from humorous rants and essays (Born Pissed, Zany Hijinx, First Person Last Straw, If They Can't Take A Joke, Slapstick & Superego, Mockery & Travesty), conventional & modern poetry (Breathing Room Volume I & II, Poke The Scorpion With A Sharp Stick, memoir (Icarus On The Mend) and an anthology (Voices From The Herd). Waters lives in Clarence with his son Benjamin. He's currently hosting a comedy talk show (Big Words I Know By Heart) for YouTube & Time Warner Cable.
