This version is printed with 2 book pages per physical page,... More > sideways, so it's thinner than the regular version. (It is more than half the thickness of the regular version, since the paper is heavier, but it is quite a bit thinner and lighter.) The text is 70% the size of the full version, slightly smaller than the 6x9 inch version of the book. It is coil bound, so it can be folded back to display just two pages, or laid flat to display four pages at once. Check the preview. < Less

About Whitman Calculus

This is the 2011 edition; see below for links to older versions.

There are three books in a variety of formats: single variable calculus, multivariable calculus, and multivariable calculus with late transcendentals.

I have examined the 6x9 multivariable paperback and hardcover, the 8.5x11 multivariable paperback and hardcover, and the two-up coil bound version. The other versions are sufficiently similar that I anticipate no printing problems. Since we're making no money on this venture, and because it is not currently possible to verify that a book will print properly without actually printing one, I can't guarantee any results. If you do get a book with issues, please let Lulu know about it, and let me know as well.

The major change in the 2011 edition is a new chapter on differential equations; also typos fixed, some rewriting, some minor formatting changes, some new exercises.
