Beautiful

Spanning over 100 years, three wars, and many of the defining moments in 20th century American history, including the Great Depression, WWII, the expansion of the 50s, the uncertainty and unrest of the 60s and 70s and the tumult of current day, Beautiful tells the tale of the Robinski family. Mary and Vladin Robinski came to late 19th century America in search of the American Dream. Instead, like so many other Polish immigrants, they found poverty and broken promises in the burgeoning city of Chicago. But through hard work, chance encounters, unlikely powerful friends, and inspiring though at times heartless cunning, their descendants would not only bask in the glory of the American dream, they would come to define it.
