Escape

Captured in the desert of north Africa, a young Royal Artilleryman called Anthony Gregson finds himself handed over to the Italians. For the next 14 months, the young POW yearns to rejoin his fighting comrades, and on the 8th September 1943 he gets his chance. This is the story of one man's 400 mile journey to freedom through war torn Italy, surviving off people's kindness and through his own determination.
