Growing up in the system will either make or break a person and for Desire Cooper, it only made her stronger. At a very young age, she was faced with a harsh reality that there are some very bad people in this world. She was adopted by her mother’s best friend Cream, straight from the womb. Cream did the best she could raising Desire but was unaware of her boyfriend’s cruel intentions. Later in Desire’s life, she met two females, Kijuana and Daya, who became besties. The three of them shared one thing in common and that was to get money by any means necessary. It didn’t matter who you were, if you had money, then you were fair game. Desire lived a single life until Kijuana introduced her to Dontae, a jack boy from the Westside. The two came together to become the Bonnie and Clyde of Indianapolis. Dontae completes Desire in many ways, but she still feels like something, or someone is still missing from her life. The dreams or visions that she keeps having, tells her so. Will love be enough for her to survive on, or would the ghosts of the past catch up with her?
