Different Drummer

Karl Steiner, a retired Army Airborne Ranger, returns to the small farm in southeastern Minnesota where he had grown to adulthood. He turns his acreage into a wildlife refuge, disallowing hunting. Trespassers find themselves in difficulties with Steiner, sometimes funny, sometimes painful, but always emphatic. Karl Steiner is a helpful neighbor and respected citizen of Berry Springs. He becomes involved with two women, a photographer and a librarian. Different Drummer is an upbeat read filled with quirky humor.
