DESPERATE GAMBLE

Chief Inspector Jamike has only recently been disgraced out of the Police Force. Adaku, her brother Chilaka and their blind mother are the only remnants of a once prosperous family of nine before the Biafra war. But they settle down to rebuild their shattered lives. Just when it seems they are stabilizing their fate, Adaku is kidnapped on her way to school. Chilaka stumbles on Chief Superintendent of Police, Adam Bashorun. Bashorun does a strange thing, which he, later, admits is a harebrained, desperate gamble. He dispatches Jamike and Chilaka separately to rescue Adaku, with apparently conflicting instructions. They, each, encounter Golomon, a man with a huge grouse against the world, the most feared, the most ruthless and the ugliest giant and genius to bestride and rule the Nigerian underworld. Nobody has ever crossed his path and lived to tell the story. So, what chance do these two stand against the murderous Golomon? You’d say nil…..
