Tall Trees

Jewel Martin, a strong and spirited beauty living in rural Texas in the 1920's, witnesses the brutal beating of her best friends father, a black sharecropper, at the hands of a wealthy rancher and moonshiner along with two of his friends. The sharecropper later dies of his wounds and her friend is forced to leave her home. Since one of the men involved was the Sheriff, there is no justice for the family. Jewel vows to avenge the death and the wrong done to her friend. After planning and executing a few cruel pranks on two of the three men, she is discovered by Rob Walker, a shy but handsome young man who convinces her to halt her plans. An unlikely romance occurs between the two but it is strained when the three men are murdered in a fashion similar to Jewel's former plans but not by her hand. Suspense and thrills ensue as the two discover the real murderer.
