VANISHED

Just fifteen, American Jake Brandon is alone, on the run and desperate. His life becomes one hair-raising adventure after another when he breaks away from kidnappers and flees into the jungles of Chiapas, Mexico. Aided by 17-year-old Chanti Alexander, a half-Indian orphan, and Ba lam, the wild jaguar she raised from a cub, he eludes his pursuers. Set in the lush and treacherous Mexican jungle, the dauntless teens move with nonstop action from one threat to another, confronting jaguars, pumas, venomous snakes, boa constrictors, crocodiles, deadly rivers, tomb raiders and poachers. During their perilous quest to reach safety, Jake and Chanti learn to depend on one another as danger drives them further into the jungle.
