Fierce engagement is a new concept of intense patient-centeredness. It prescribes ssdhc (sustained and substantial direct human contact) through APIs (alternative protocol of intervention) to all patients but especially to seriously or terminally ill ones. If your physician isn't giving you fierce engagement, drop this doc like a hot potato and sue him/her and sue his/her host hospital for malpractice.
