Dragons had been their guardians since the first silver paired with a man many centuries before. Now with only red and green dragons remaining the Wildren were growing bolder and more numerous. If the dormant silver egg never hatched the ranks of the Wildren could swell so quickly that humanity would be wiped from the face of the earth. Appalled by the growing rift between flyers and the grounders it was their duty to protect and faced with a Senior Wingmaster whose motives he distrusted the last thing Haledon needed was to stumble across a party of incomers. Were the barriers the Wingmages had set up to stop people crossing between dimensions starting to fail? And there was something very odd about this particular group.
