In a high-tech world where most of the solar system has been colonized, Noah's family is part of the ruling dynasty of the Solar Union, the King-Priest to be, governing the warm inner planets, while the Outerworld Federation controls the worlds from Jupiter to the edge of the system. On these worlds live the Outworlders, descendents of criminals and malcontents whose longing for a warm world begins a war of conquest.
