Satellites

A work of art is a satellite of the artist. Recently my studies of Eros in poetry have helped me define myself as a lyrical poet and painter. In "Eros the Bittersweet" Anne Carson explains the concept of Eros as a pyschological phenomenon as well as a mythological figure. Eros can represent our reaching for a person or object; it symbolizes our need for completion. "Satellites" is an anthology of poems I have written in the last 3 years at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and abroad in Europe.
