Over the years I have written 10 books including joke books and theory books on subjects like Hecklers, Compere’s etc but this is my first book of effects. Some of these I have devised myself and others are based on principles already out there, such as the Grey Elephants in Denmark effect which has been credited to everyone from Max Maven to Houdini. Karl Fulves and Martin Gardner have both written many effects with a similar theme and I would highly recommend checking out their work on the subject. During the Lockdown I have been performing live shows on Facebook and alongside some children’s magic and close up I wanted to include some interactive effects too. In this book you will find 12 simple effects that can be performed over the camera or live, some of these I have been performing for years at trade shows to end on a highlighted product etc as well as during my regular close up table hopping. In the chapters I have included the artwork I have used but you can easily make up your own or just use normal playing cards for most of the effects. Each chapter will have a full rundown of the presentation and at the end will feature a page with the complete sequence in a basic format for easy reference.
