RITA REINECKER is the daughter of Herbert Reinecker, prolific German playwright, novelist, and screenwriter, and creator of the hugely successful television series “Derrick,” of which her DVD collection is now complete. She replaced her career as graphic designer with that of a writer/editor: in 1998 she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in writing from Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis. She emigrated to the U.S. in 1966. She has two sons and lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
