J.I.Bartholomew was born in Sheffield in the UK and is a first time author. His first book, Beyond Tomb Mountain, is the first in a planned series concerning the mysterious adventures of Miss Poppy Swift. Four more books in the series are already planned. He is a great fan of myths, legends, and folk-tales, and this has influenced his stories. His inspirations are Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, and C.S.Lewis.
