D.M.Gold was born in New York City , and has worked in Hong Kong and London. Originally trained as an illustrator she works now as a therapist in London. Many of the issues that she writes about come from her interest in characters and their psychology. Her first novel, Minus One, is no exception. Her analysis of a family in crisis explores each member of the family through their own private issues.
