Cathy Nored is an entrepreneur, minister and published author. CN Nomoor (pronounced Sin no more) is her pen name and under that name she has published seven books. She moved to Atlanta in 2002 and was effective in serving her community. In 2008, she worked on the staff of then Senator—eventually, President—Obama's massive voters registration drives in Greater Atlanta. Her efforts yielded over 12,000 newly registered voters and grew the grassroots volunteer base from 2 to 800 volunteers in her tri-county area—volunteers who all worked to help elect the first African-American President in U.S. history. Ms. Nored has also written memoirs that chronicle that movement for change, entitled, “A Hope Unleashed.” Now retired, she and her husband Daniel remain active in working political events, community groups, and mentoring in South Carolina while encouraging the utilization of their God- given talents.
