Historic Linwood Cemetery of Columbus, Muscogee, GA is more than a collection of tombstones and grave sites. It is a collection of stories, of lives and loves. It is a collection of family. As Columbus was an early industrial town, Linwood is the final resting site of families from both the North and South. Many families from across the Chattahoochee River in Alabama are also interred here. Our sincerest appreciation to Dolores Autry’s family for allowing us to republish all of her hard work and add more to these wonderful people. She was a true caretaker of Linwood Families. She accomplished so much in her short life and left a legacy for all. It has been said that as long as a person lives in someone’s heart and is remembered, they will never die. May we all live in someone’s heart forever.
