MURDER ON 9TH AVENUE

Gertie Seymour just moved to Alabama due to financial circumstances. She had to leave her family in Florida. She is a senior citizen that bought an old house on 9th Avenue. The murder of the Johnson Family just down the avenue from her house gets her involved with criminals who are involved in all types of criminal endeavors including murder. Oliver Goddard, a very wealthy crime boss and his attorney Dick Moore have kept a clean slate and the law is helpless to bring them in. How she manages to stay alive with the help of a homicide detective, Vance Obermeyer, is an entertaining sequence of events that finds her coming to the conclusion that crime fighting is a matter of brain power and luck. The final events that brings the case to a close are surprising even to Gertie.
