All Miles Drake wanted to do was take a year off after college before diving back into grad school. Signing up to run outdoor education programs at a year-round YMCA camp in Vermont seemed like the best way to retreat from academia and get paid for the relaxation. Miles’ efforts at escaping from the real world are hampered when he discovers that the job is not as laid-back as he had hoped and then completely snowed under when he meets Sophie, who also lives and works at the camp. Miles’ working vacation starts resembling the world he came to New England to forget about but he soon realizes that having life catch up to him might not be such a terrible fate after all.
