HORSEWOMEN

After acrimonious divorce from his culture vulture wife, hopeless and homeless Robert is given shelter by their neighbour Evie, who treats him with benign contempt. She also turns out to be a lady of the night. His malevolent dead mother and sweet but restive girlfriend make up the quartet he thinks of as the four horsewomen of the apocalypse. This is his story, one middle-aged man's search for himself in a clutter of baroque buildings and leather basques. The journey ranges all the way from a brothel in Purley to a proposed brothel in Las Vegas.
