In 2008 we published our first book of poems, Poetry from the Clarendon, which was well received around Haringey. The Borough has obviously been looking for some good news of late and we at the Clarendon like to think that we can provide it by affording an outlet for the voices of our members. The first book has been popular but seems to have gone out of print. Hence we have decided to reissue it in conjunction with our second volume. As before we have tried for a mix of subject matter. Many are very personal and about the issues of mental illness, but not all. We believe that members of the Clarendon Centre have views about a range of subjects in the wider world too and reading through he new work we hope that you will enjoy what they have to say.
