Deborah Jo Brooks-Langford (poet, novelist, writer and literary agent) was born in Gastonia, NC in July 1951, a military brat so-to-speak. She was the oldest of eight children. Her father, Floyd was a soldier in the U.S. Army. His people were from Cherokee Hills, NC of the Cherokee Indians. Her mother’s people originally came from England and lived in Silva, NC. Deborah went to High School in Columbia, SC. She has lived overseas in Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Germany, Spain and Turkey. She now resides in Covington, TN. Deborah has been writing poems all her life.
When she was in school she would write instead of listen—and instead, dream of different poems and stories. Her passion is poetry. She loves to write. Writing, poetry and stories are her life.
