The Writing Buddy Project

This book by second graders includes the students’ acrostic poems, the original draft of their memoir or autobiography, the revised and edited draft of that memoir or autobiography and a self-reflection on their growth as a writer. The acrostic poems illustrate their efforts to expand the use of descriptive words. The memoirs illustrate their efforts to elaborate or add descriptive and informative details.
