The Smoke That Thunders

The Smoke That Thunders is the story of Hilton Forbs and his discovery of a riddle written on a turtles shell that foretells the coming invasion of Britain by joint Arab forces. Forbs, a reporter working in Oman, becomes abducted by the mastermind of the plot Sheik Ahmed kahlid, and it is only Forbes’s illiterate ally Davey MacDonald in the Scottish Highlands, who has the capacity to intervene.
