Surviving Alice

Surviving Alice is a collection of true stories concerning my teenage years in an isolated town in central Australia (1996-2001). It’s about the realities of life and growing up, showing the world something real and truthful. Surviving Alice illustrates a different cultural background than you would normally hear about. I went through a lot of unusual things, but hope to find a common ground in telling my story. Some things are unavoidable in life; choices are made; mistakes are lessons on what not to do. These stories are about my struggle with drugs and alcohol, life and death, love and friendship. It’s about cultures colliding and forming something new. It’s about surviving Alice the best way I could.
