In the spirit of Walker Evans, Lee Friedlander, and Robert Frank, this collection of photographs is surprisingly familiar, uncomfortably personal in its intimacy at times, and dominated by an acute awareness of personal identity. Yet, these are the feelings and complexities of life, death, love, and anonymity that these photographs seek to convey. All of the scenes depicted in this book seem more than vaguely familiar because they are. Life is a shared experience, and, in one way or another, the humanity of it all manages to transcend.
